How to be a Pony Handler

In this hands-on introduction you will learn how to be an attentive, effective handler. We will cover how to guide and direct a pony using reins and other signaling aids to get the pony to walk, trot, canter, halt, turn, and back. Instruction includes demonstrations and practice in lunging, in-hand work, and basic cart handling. We will finish with a focused session on safety—what to watch for in your pony, how to prevent common problems, and best practices to keep everyone comfortable and secure.
